Call of Duty Ghosts Multiplayer Reveal Trailer
The multiplayer premiere trailer was shown with an unreleased Eminem song called "Survival" playing in the background. A short clip of Eminem came on afterwards where he talked about his new song and his collaboration with the Franchise.
New Modes/Gameplay Additions
- There are a total of seven new games modes
- A new solo, cooperative and competitive mode called Squads was announced. Squads is centered around bot controlled games. In Ghosts you can build squads of up to ten soldiers, each with their own appearance and loadout. You can then challenge other players squads or play cooperatively against the computer. Activision stressed that the soldiers in your squad will behave like human players.
- 30+ new weapons
- 20+ new killstreaks with less of an emphasis on airbourne kill streak rewards
- Dynamic Map Events: Certain buildings/structures on maps can be destroyed changing the paths and sightlines on a map
- Field orders: mid game objectives that when completed reward you with XP, ammo and supply drops.
- You can now customize the complete look of your soldiers with thousands of different possible combinations.
- New class called "Marksman". Marksman is a mix between the assault and sniper class.
- Female soldiers can now be used in the multiplayer
- Can now carry your profile from current to next gen or vice versa in the same console family
Gameplay Improvements
- No More deathstreaks
- You can now knee slide, vault over objects without losing momentum and lean around corners
- The Perk system is similar to Black Ops II pick 10 system where you have a set budget and you each perk is worth a set amount of points.
- More robust clan support
- When aiming through a scope you can now retain your peripheral vision
New Mobile App
There will be a new Call of Duty App that will track your stats, let you customize and change loadouts, create and customize clan logos and manage your clan.
Call of Duty Ghosts will be released on November 5th, 2013 and available on current gen console, PC and next gen consoles.
